Female Arrested Following One-Night Crime Spree The Watervliet Police Department received numerous reports of vehicles that had been damaged or ransacked during the early morning hours of Thursday, March 26th, 2020.

With the assistance of the community, the Watervliet Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit was able to identify the perpetrator as GINA F. GREGIO age 20 from Watervliet, New York. During a subsequent interview with detectives, GREGIO, admitted to puncturing several tires at random throughout the city of Watervliet and unlawfully entering vehicles. When asked why, GREGIO responded “just to do it”.

GREGIO was arrested and charged with three counts of CRIMINAL MISCHIEF in the 3rd degree, a class E felony, and three counts of AUTO STRIPPING in the 3rd Degree, a class A misdemeanor. She was processed and, in light of current court closures due to the COVID-19 restrictions, was released on an appearance ticket.
