On July 9, 2022, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Watervliet Police Department responded to the 1900 block of Sixth Avenue to investigate a complaint of shots fired. Through investigation, it was discovered that Keiji N. Mason Flowers discharged several rounds from a handgun while in her back yard.

The Watervliet Police Department executed a search warrant with the assistance of the Albany County Sheriff’s Office and the Green Island Police Department. As a result, a loaded, illegally- possessed, 9mm handgun (photo attached) was recovered from inside the residence.

Watervliet Police charged Keiji N. Mason Flowers, a 26-year-old female from Watervliet (photo attached) with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree (Class C Felony), Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree (Class D Felony) and Reckless Endangerment in the 1st Degree (Class D Felony). Mason Flowers was arraigned in Watervliet City Court and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility.

In addition, Alexania D. Marshall, a 22-year-old female from Watervliet (photo attached) was charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm (Class E Felony). Marshall was arraigned in Watervliet City Court and released on her own recognizance.
