On Thursday, August 6th, 2020, Debora McDade of Averill Park was arrested for Prostitution (B Misdemeanor). The arrest was made following an investigation carried out by the Watervliet Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit and Patrol Division.

McDade is accused of utilizing an on-line adult website to advertise services, which were sexual in nature, from a residence in the City of Watervliet. Upon being contacted, McDade allegedly agreed to engage in sexual conduct with an undercover Watervliet police officer in return for a fee.

“Modern-day prostitution has evolved with the advent of adult websites and untraceable texting apps. It’s very easy nowadays for someone to search for, solicit, and engage in prostitution activities. This makes our job in law enforcement very difficult when tasked with trying to curb these actions. But, just as those who choose to violate the laws adapt by using technology to their advantage, the members of the Watervliet Police Department have adapted as well”. – Acting Police Chief Lt. Brian Strock

McDade was released on an appearance ticket and is due to return in Watervliet City Court for her arraignment at a later time.
